Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actor and producer who is gaining recognition for her outstanding roles in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Piano, as well as The Incredibles. Her movie Piano earned her an Oscar. Early on she began playing on stage for several Broadway or Off Broadway productions. From her early years she's always been enthusiastic about performing. She played Helen Keller as a fifth-grade pupil in a school performance. Mumps led her to lose her hearing in one of her ear, however this was not enough to stop the actress from following her dreams.
